As some of you might remember I was supposed to go to Florida in May. The plan was to organize a big family trip in honor of my aunt's 50th birthday. Well, that's not going to happen. sad The thing is that the holiday crashes with all my exams (and my sister's exam as well), so I can't go. I have to take those exams, otherwise I have to stay home for another year, and that's not really a tempting opportunity. So no Florida for me. It kinda sucks, but I'm over it! I need to set my priorities straight for once in my life. right Yay for me!

Anyway.. I dunno if some of you remember this, but I was supposed to go to Spain last year. To my favorite hotel in Mallorca. Unfortunately I didn't get to go, because I had no one to go with. Well, my mom felt sorry for me since I don't get to go to Florida. So a couple of days ago we booked a two week trip to my beloved Viva Sunrise! blush I'm so excited! Sure, going on vacation with friends is more fun that going with the family (sorry mom, but it's the truth), but who am I to complain? We leave on July 28, and return on August 11. It's gonna be such a blast. upsidedown I'm just gonna lounge on a beach chair and tan all day long.. ah, pure bliss!

The other day I actually opened my French book for the first time in ages. yuck I read through some texts, and did a few excercises. To my surprise I actually remembered more than I thought I did. Whoa! Maybe I won't flunk the exam afterall! I need to work on my vocabulary, though.. cool For the first time I actually feel that I might manage! Phew.. it's such a relief. Feels like a heavy burden is being lifted off my shoulder. I never knew that I was this nervous about the exam. shock Kinda pathetic, really, since the exam is not until late April at the earliest.

Once again I need to declare how much I love eBay! It's the most brilliant site on the Internet! cute I can spend hours and hours just browsing through actions, looking at lots of stuff I wanna buy (but can't really afford..). The other day I bought a really cute dress. It arrived today, and it was beautiful. biggrin Sure, it didn't look exactly like the picture (there were some sequins I didn't expect - but I can just remove those), but I loved it nevertheless. Ah, I'm so pleased right now! I love online shopping! It's so much fun. I've bought a bunch of Asian drama DVDs as well! tv Haha! I better watch out, otherwise I might get addicted. I don't think my credit card company would be too pleased about that.. wink

So I haven't updated this site for ages now. Truth to be told I almost lost all interest in this place, but yesterday I got a sudden urge to start blogging again. blush I've hard a couple of really boring months, so there hasn't really been anything to blog about. I'm not saying that's about to change (unfortunately I have a feeling my life won't be getting interesting in the nearest future), but at least I can rant and rave all I want here. Haha! So.. new layout! This one is pretty simple and all. I didn't feel like doing anything extravagant. yawn It features the Taiwanese singer/actress Rainie Yang. She acted in dramas such as Meteor Garden and Devil Beside You (yup, I'm still not over my Asian drama craze)

Christmas was a blast. I got everything on my wish list this year! biggrin Haha! And no, I'm not a spoiled brat.. I only had four things on my wish list. That's why. Christmas Eve was spent at my grandparents' house, together with my closest family. We ate a lot of delicious food, talked and opened all the presents. I think there were 65 presents in total. shock It took a while. 21 of those presents were for my little sister (yes, I counted)! Whoa! I have to admit I was a little envious. Doesn't matter if I'm twenty years old.. I still like getting presents. Only 14 of the presents were for me! Haha! But it doesn't really matter, 'cause I got a lot of neat stuff nevertheless. heart I am now the proud owner of a brand new 30GB mp3-player, a new stereo system and some new books. And plenty of other stuff as well!

A few days ago I registered for exams. It was friggin' expensive. Each exam was NOK 300 ($45), and I have a total of fifteen exams to take this semester. Yes, you read right. Fifteen! dead Finish high school, children. That is my advice to you. Oh well. It's just exams. All I have to do is study, meet on the exam days and take the exams. Eight of them are oral exams, the remaining seven are written. I have never had an oral exam in my entire life, so I'm pretty nervous about that. ouch I had mock oral exams in 10th grade, though, so I know the drill. I just have to talk and talk, and not let the examinator ask any further questions. I can do that! Go me!

But there is one exam that I really, really, really dread! That is the French oral exam. They expect me to speak French, speak sentences that actually makes sense. frown Help! My French is horrible. I haven't had any French for the past 2,5 years. And even when I took French in school, it wasn't one of my strongest subjects. I'm totally screwed. But if I wanna get my diploma I have to pass that exam. grr Aaah.. it can't be that hard getting a passing grade, can it? I still have 3-4 months to revive my French vocabulary and grammar knowledge. Wish me luck!

I knew I should have taken German back then.. sad
